Dear Stallion Family,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as your new Principal. I am honored to serve a community that has welcomed me warmly. My interactions with the staff, students, and families made it clear that this is a unique and special place.
This summer, I have been spending time getting to know the building, school community, and familiarizing myself with the school improvement goals. I have learned that Sollers is a place that values building strong relationships with students and families committed to developing technical specialists and scholars.
Professionally, I have 17 years of experience in the field in education and am certified as a Business, Computer Science, and Technology Education teacher as well as a Work- Based Learning Coordinator. I received my associate degree from Catonsville Community College, a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and am a Doctoral Candidate at Walden University. I served as an Assistant Principal at Perry Hall High School for three years and at Patapsco High School for two years. While I am proud of my professional accomplishment, I am also the parent of two sons as well. I understand the challenges and rewards you face every day to ensure that your students the best educational experience and training.
While we are navigating education through the virtual world, my work here will be building strong relationships with students, teachers, and families. You will see me in your virtual classrooms, and I will set up opportunities to engage parents monthly through our virtual chats with the Principal. I am passionate about student success, and I will work hard to ensure that your students have experiences at Sollers that is both challenging, engaging, and fun. I have an open-door policy and welcome your input and ideas. While we cannot be together in person, I look forward to meeting each of you virtually as begin this new and exciting year together!
