Cosmetology prepares individuals to care for and beautify hair, nails, and skin. Fifteen hundred hours of instruction qualifies the student to sit for an operator’s licensing examination in Maryland in the senior year of high school. Students are required to apply and sit for the State of Maryland Board of Cosmetologists’ license examination prior to graduation.

Teach: Cosmetology

At Sollers: 12 years

Bio:  I have three children and three grandchildren. I owned Shear Attractions Day Spa for 27 years.

I love teaching Cosmetology at Sollers because we have a great group of teachers that are always willing to share ideas and help one another out!

I love my students; we build relationships on trust, with honesty and kindness and become a family where we all care about each other. They are the reason I “get out of bed” each morning!
