Computer Networking (CISCO) & Cybersecurity

Computer Networking (CISCO) & Cybersecurity prepares students with fundamental and advanced computer, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills necessary for success in computer career fields.The Networking pathway provides students with in-depth understanding of the following:

  •  how packets travel across networks
  •  configuration of network devices, including switches and routers
  •  working with actual Cisco equipment and data communication rack cabling
  •  IPv4 and IPv6 addressing protocols
  •  dual boot Windows / Linux workstations
  • operation of the OSI data communications model within Cisco equipment and host machines
  • troubleshooting and problem-solving
Students also have opportunities for internships, and articulated college credit.
