Computer Networking (CISCO) & Cybersecurity prepares students with fundamental and advanced computer, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills necessary for success in computer career fields.The Networking pathway provides students with in-depth understanding of the following:
- how packets travel across networks
- configuration of network devices, including switches and routers
- working with actual Cisco equipment and data communication rack cabling
- IPv4 and IPv6 addressing protocols
- dual boot Windows / Linux workstations
- operation of the OSI data communications model within Cisco equipment and host machines
- troubleshooting and problem-solving
Students also have opportunities for internships, and articulated college credit.
