Sollers Point Technical High School is committed to inspiring students to achieve their educational and career goals.
Sollers Point Tech is a Baltimore County regional magnet school with beginnings dating back to 1948. Through a unique relationship with its magnet partner high schools, Patapsco, Dundalk, Chesapeake, Kenwood, Overlea, and Sparrows Point, Sollers Point Tech provides students with technical programs in three clusters. Concentrations in Communications Technologies; Health and Human Services; and Engineering, Construction, and Transportation provide students with ever expanding opportunities for advanced training, college study, and careers for the future. Central to the magnet school concept is the ninth grade technical preparation program.
Located in Dundalk near I-695, the Ft. McHenry and Baltimore Harbor tunnels, and the Key Bridge, the school is easily accessible from anywhere in the Baltimore metropolitan area. The school sits on a tri-campus with Dundalk High and the Community College of Baltimore County near major employers including Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Holabird Industrial Park, and Maryland Port Authority. Employment in the area is becoming increasingly high-tech in response to the demands of an international economy.
The school serves approximately 700 students in a combination of morning and afternoon class sessions. Minority enrollment is approximately 25% of the total school population, and Sollers Point Tech programs are offered to serve a wide range of academic abilities.
